Calypso

Rescued By: Hope For Paws

Our special little girl, Calypso, does the wobbly dance! She will wander directly into your heart if given half the chance!

She is a 14 week old, female, Siamese Mix, who was found with her mother and siblings in a small box with thick bedding. One of the kittens did not survive and two have been adopted. She is the only one that has cerebella hypoplasia, a neurological condition where the cerebellum—the brain area responsible for balance and coordination—is underdeveloped. It is most famously seen as "wobbly cat syndrome" from in-utero viral infections. Usually caused by the mother passing the feline panleukopenia virus to the fetuses, or by toxic/nutritional issues in the womb. It is non-progressive (does not worsen over time)

She doesn't let her unique gait slow her down, she plays, jumps, explores and loves life just like any other kitten.

She is available for adoption from Let Them Be Little Feline Rescue.
