Jean Luc

Rescued By: Hope For Paws

Meet Jean Luc Jean Luc is a 5-year-old terrier mix weighing just 11.5 pounds, with a big personality and an even bigger heart for his person. He’s very much a “my human” kind of dog and forms deep bonds once he feels safe. Because of this, he’s looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace. In a new environment, Jean Luc needs time to decompress—his foster found it took about two weeks for him to feel comfortable and begin to trust. Once he does, he becomes your loyal little shadow and loves being close to his person. He can be slightly protective due to his attachment, so a calm, consistent home with clear boundaries will help him thrive. Jean Luc does well with other dogs, especially female dogs, and he can live with cats given a proper, slow introduction. He’s currently learning leash walking and is making great progress, especially when treats are involved—because treats are absolutely his love language! Jean Luc would do best in a home that understands shy or sensitive dogs and is willing to give him the time and patience he needs to feel secure. In return, you’ll gain a devoted companion who will stick by your side through it all. If you’re looking for a loyal little best friend and believe in letting love grow at its own pace, Jean Luc might be your perfect match.
