- How do I adopt an animal?
- How in depth is the adoption process?
- I want to adopt an animal from Hope For Paws, can you give it to me for free?
At Hope For Paws we concentrate on rescuing unwanted and neglected animals off of the streets. Because our focus is on getting them rescued, giving them medical care, and training, we leave the adoption process to the rescue organizations that we partner with. If you see an animal in one of our videos that you are interested in, please contact the rescue group directly. There is a link to their website at the end of each video.
Hope For Paws partners with several different rescue organizations in California. It is up to that rescue’s discretion if they will adopt out of state. Again, if you are interested in a Hope For Paws dog, you will find the partnering rescue group on the YouTube video.
We partner with different rescues that adopt out the animals we rescue. Potential adopters have to fill out an adoption application and go through a home check. There is also an adoption fee.
Whether a dog is adopted through Hope For Paws or one of our rescue partners there is always an adoption fee. The adoption fee always goes back into the organization and is used for medical, training, or food and supplies for the animals.
