Rescued By: Hope For Paws

Gertrude or "Gertie" as we like to call her for short, was a mama too many times. She was rescued by Hope For Paws after being found on the street with a mammary mass. We immediately had her taken to Cares where she had surgery and a biopsy confirmed that it was cancerous. If she had been left out on the streets, or taken to the shelter, who knows what may have happened to her? However, thanks to the amazing support of our subscribers, Gertie was able to have bilateral cherry eye revision, be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and have a much needed dental procedure. The mammary mass was also removed with clean margins and we are hopeful she will have no more masses in the future. She is looking for a loving and forever family to put her first and make her feel like the star that she is. Gertie is approximately 8 years old, and a tan Chihuahua mix.
